Michelle began her career in multifamily in Birmingham, AL as a leasing consultant in 1990. She quickly moved up the ranks to Regional Manager before moving across the desk in 1997 to begin a new career in multifamily marketing with Apartment Blue Book, which changed names to Apartment Finder and is now known as Apartments.com.

Michelle was the original publisher of Birmingham Apartment Finder, held the positions of Mid-South Regional Director and VP of Sales for the Eastern United States with Apartment Finder. Michelle held the position of VP Southeast for Apartments.com/ CoStar.  In November 2017, Michelle made a move to pursue the role of Director of Client Services at Chadwell Supply and is now the Vice President of Industry relations at Chadwell Supply . Michelle is a motivational speaker, trainer, life coach, and most importantly a  mother and now a grandmother of one granddaughter. She has two daughters which she credits them with teaching her everything that she knows about the art of negotiation.

Michelle has a great passion for the multifamily industry that shows through her involvement in many apartment associations throughout the Southeast.  Michelle has served on many committees on the National level and has worked her way up the ladder of the National Supplier Council to become Chairman of the National Suppliers Council in 2017. This is the highest position attainable for a supplier partner with NAA.

 Michelle Childers is the Vice President of Industry Relations at Chadwell Supply. She holds a Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) designation and is a Leadership Lyceum Graduate in 2018 she was the NAA National Suppliers Council Excellence Award recipient. She has served on numerous NAA committees and is a Past Chairman of NAA’s National Suppliers Council. Michelle is passionate about educating and mentoring Multifamily Professionals. Her experience on both sides of the desk and over 25 years in the industry give her a broad perspective on which to draw from in her presentations.
